Valéry Giscard d'Estaing

What is our ambition for Europe in the XXIst century? By what means can we achieve these goals? This debate was opened by the European Convention since then, but it must go forth.

Independant from any political party and institutions, For Democracy in Europe is a forum opened to anyone has ideas to share about Europe.

The Institute For democracy in Europe was created in 1996 by Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, in order to contribute to the debate upon Europe, especially when it comes to institutional questions, at a time when many founding countries seemed semblaient to give up any ambition for a politically strong European Union.
